Teesside Ability
Support Centre Zine

spring 2017
a cheap to produce awareness zine for a local charity

Many charities are non profit organizations so they often lack the resources to invest into design that makes them stand out from the others. I decided to work with a the Teesside Ability Support Centre, a charity who supports adults with differing abilities.

The zine is split into two portions. The first half is about the charity, what they do and what they’ve accomplished and the second half goes into depth about disabilities that are often ignored or not taken as seriously as they should such as OCD that’s often used as slang.

I chose to go with design style inspired by the newspaper, but with more flair. This worked well as newsprint was also cheap to source and print on.
